Meet My Wife "The Ruthless Editor", My Dog "The Play Machine", and Me

My journey in screenwriting began one random January morning in 2024. I woke up from a dream where I’d written a brilliant Hollywood film about the development of NASA’s spacesuit. Half asleep, I turned to my wife, Silvia, and said, “I just dreamt I wrote a movie!” She looked at me and said, “Why not? Just do it!”

The problem? I had never written anything. Not a novel, not a short story, not even a decent grocery list. I didn’t even know how to learn screenwriting. But I’ve always been completely obsessed with NASA, space, and anything that leaves Earth’s atmosphere.

So, in May 2024, I did what any rational adult would do: I enrolled in a 7-hour beginner’s screenwriting course on Udemy. I watched every single minute, every module, every quiz ...and that’s my entire formal education in screenwriting. But hey, that course must’ve been pure gold, because I ended up writing my first screenplay, "The Spacesuit."

My wife and I edited the first manuscript together while our crazy dog, Breezy, stared at us in pure boredom, probably wondering why humans stare at words instead of throwing tennis balls.

Of course, there’s a story before The Spacesuit and also one after. Read on to find out how I went from gardener to psychologist , and somehow… to screenwriter... and what happened after "The Spacesuit" was ready to shoot to the stars!

And the story continues ...

My "Spacesuit"

When a lingerie company is unexpectedly chosen to design NASA’s first space suit, a brilliant but troubled young engineer must outthink rival firms to help win the space race and prove herself, all in a spirited, fun journey through one of history’s most unlikely true stories.
